Shantanu is a Partner in CMS INDUSLAW’s Transaction practice group and is based out of Gurugram office.
Shantanu has more than a decade of experience in diverse practice areas of general corporate, corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions and private equity investments. He has been representing multinational companies in various cross-border transactions, advising on foreign direct investments, outbound investments, joint ventures, technology transfers as well as commercial contracting issues.
Shantanu’s work experience also includes advising Indian and foreign clients on private equity investments in India and on various issues arising out of the exchange control laws, Companies Act and sector specific laws.
He has special interest in the healthcare and life sciences sectors and has assisted clients in some of the very prominent deals in the past. Mondaq's Spring 2024 Thought Leadership Awards recognised him in Food, Drugs, Healthcare, and Life Sciences
Shantanu has written on a variety of subjects including exchange control laws and legal developments in the healthcare sector for the print and electronic media.
Prior to joining CMS INDUSLAW, Shantanu was a partner at JSA.
