M. Sudhakar is a Real Estate partner in the Chennai office of CMS INDUSLAW.
Sudhakar has over 23 years of experience in advising clients on civil matters, including of purchasers, sellers, borrowers in relation to all aspects of Real Estate transactions and civil litigations such as personal lawsuits, defending land acquisitions by government, contract related litigations, arbitrations, documentations related disputes, Real estate projects related disputes, joint ventures disputes or other related matters.
Sudhakar has court experience as an advocate for about 11 years and argued cases from lowest grade courts to highest grade courts in India. Coordinated court litigations in India and UAE with leading law firms.
In particular, he has experience in advising on old land laws applicable in Tamil Nadu and worked in real estate companies such as Sobha (India), Sobha Realty (UAE) & TVS EMERALD (INDIA) as in-house Legal Counsel, and in the course of employment have dealt with legal matters (including real estate) in India, UAE, UK and Oman.
Sudhakar also coordinated with Aircraft manufacturer in USA, financier in France and various law firms in Oman, UAE, England, Isle of man and Hongkong in the matters of documentation relating to arrangement of Finance for purchasing an Aircraft.
Prior to joining CMS INDUSLAW, he worked as an in-house Legal Counsel for prominent real estate companies, the most recent being with TVS Emerald (India). In the past, he has also worked with Sobha (India) and Sobha Realty (UAE).
