Kaushik is a Partner in the firm’s Mumbai office andspecialises in Capital Markets and Public M&A.
He regularly advises issuers and underwriters on a widerange of equity and debt capital markets offerings such asinitial public offers (IPOs), qualified institutions placementsand preferential allotments of equity and warrants; and publicissues and private placements of listed international bonds,FCCBs and non-convertible debentures. Kaushik alsoadvises clients on public M&A transactions includingtakeovers, PIPEs and court approved mergers of listedcompanies.
Other than accolades received during his tenure with variousleading law firms, Kaushik had been recognized as a leadinggeneral counsel in India by various publications including theIndia Business Law Journal.
He has multiple publications under his name including aNational Stock Exchange (of India) publication on corporategovernance (as a special advisor), apart from authoringarticles in leading financial dailies including the EconomicTimes and the Financial Express. He has regularly featuredas a securities laws expert on panel discussions organized bythe National Stock Exchange, London Stock Exchange,Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Law 2.0 and theIndian Law Conclave, amongst others. He has also been aguest lecturer for securities laws/law courses offered by theNational Stock Exchange, NMIMS, IIM Rohtak andGovernment Law College, Mumbai.
Kaushik has been a capital markets and public M&A partnerwith leading Indian law firms including Shardul Amarchand andJSA Law, amongst others, prior to joining CMS INDUSLAW.
He has also worked with the leading international law firmWhite & Case in its London offices, which has resulted inenhancing his overall international transactional experience.
