Aakash is a Partner in the Mumbai office of CMS INDUSLAW.
Aakash has over 10 years of experience in corporate and commercial matters. Aakash specializes in advising on private equity & venture capital investments, mergers & acquisitions, exit transactions as well as complex corporate advisory and transaction dispute settlement matters.
Aakash has advised varied set of clients including private equity and venture capital funds, early-stage ventures as well as conventional and late-stage enterprises. Aakash regularly represents prominent investment funds and founders on exit transactions. Aakash is a trusted advisor of various renowned companies and founders in relation to their fund-raising activities, strategic arrangements including joint ventures, collaborations and acquisitions and on miscellaneous corporate and commercial matters.
While Aakash remains sector agnostic, he has extensive experience in advising broad range of clients in relation to their foray into the new age and distinctive business models in the technology and e-commerce space. Aakash’s exposure to multiple sectors, ever emerging industry trends and representation of diverse clientele has enabled him to be familiar with issues specific to different sectors and offer solutions to clients.
Aakash is currently a Partner in a team of more than 25 attorneys, including several senior level attorneys. Most recently, he has been recognized as the ‘Young Lawyer of the Year’ at the ALB India Law Awards 2025. Legal500 Asia Pacific 2024 recognized him as a recommended lawyer for Corporate and M&A.
Prior to joining CMS INDUSLAW, Aakash worked with Khaitan & Co in Mumbai and CMS INDUSLAW Bangalore office.
